Lucie Ryan is a Senior Sanctions Specialist at The Swedish Club, responsible for the Club’s global sanctions risk framework across underwriting, claims and member‑facing operations. She provides technical guidance on EU, UK, US and UN sanctions regimes, supports case handling on complex geopolitical and trade‑related exposures, and advises management on emerging external risks affecting marine insurance.

Lucie began her career in private practice, spending ten years at Clyde & Co in Greece in a predominantly wet‑shipping practice, handling collisions, groundings, salvage, pollution and emergency response matters. She then spent four years at two International Group P&I Clubs as a Claims Executive before joining The Swedish Club.
