Helen is a highly experienced shipping lawyer with over 20 years’ experience and a strong reputation in the field of maritime dispute resolution, particularly in the Greek market where she has operated for most of her career after qualifying as a solicitor with an international firm. 

Helen has particular expertise in FD&D (Freight, Demurrage and Defence) and P&I matters, having held senior positions at International Group P&I Clubs, NorthStandard and Skuld. 

Helen is widely recognised for her technical expertise and commercial, pragmatic approach to resolving complex shipping disputes. She has built strong relationships with leading shipowners and key stakeholders across the industry and acts principally for owners, charterers, and their insurers on a wide variety of FD&D / P&I matters, including charterparty disputes such as off-hire, demurrage, bunkers, speed/performance claims, MOA disputes, and more. 

Helen is a qualified Mediator and speaks fluent Greek.
